Welsh Animateur Pilot Programme

The Welsh Fishermen’s Association launched the Welsh Animateur Pilot Programme in January 2025.

A collaborative project delivered by The Fishing Animateurs, funded by the Welsh Government, the project’s aim was to improve uptake of the Welsh Marine and Fisheries Scheme grant funding by Welsh fishing businesses. Since the project’s launch back in January 2025, the Fishing Animateur team, based in Cornwall, have undertaken 5 outreach trips to 14 locations.
