UK WIDE
We focus on helping under 12m vessels, which hold a commercial fishing licence, obtain an engine replacement grant.
Grants will include the cost of modifications to a vessel that are required to install a new engine and engine modifications that reduce fuel use or emissions. There are loans available from Commsave to help you with financing the project.
Key Information
Engines Constructed Before 2016
Replace your engine like for like, new model with the same or less power.
Receive 50% grant funding for a project up to £80,000.
Engines of Any Age
Replace your engine with an electric and hybrid engine.
Receive 90% grant funding for a project up to £160,000.
The project must be finished and all money claimed by 31st March 2025.
Please note for an application to be successful the MCA will need to carry out a survey. The fee is up to £882. This cost is not included in the grant and is non-refundable.
